Newly designed sound processor

The original microKORG was renowned for its easy-to-use vocoder with a dedicated microphone, which is one of the reasons for its enduring popularity.

The microKORG2 takes this concept to the next level, featuring a new, powerful sound processor. In addition to the Vocoder effect, this new sound processor features the industry-standard hard-tune pitch correction effect, as well as a Harmonizer that lets you pitch-shift and layer original sounds. You can also apply reverb, delay, and other effects to the sound processor's signal output.

Inspiring Loop Recorder

The new microKORG features a looper that lets you create backing tracks by looping and overdubbing a given musical part, making it an ideal tool for mobile live performances. Three dedicated buttons—Record, Play/Stop, and Undo/Redo—make loop recording simple for anyone.

Thanks to its easily accessible dedicated menus, recording and playback settings can be easily modified, so any player can start making music in no time.

Of course, the microKORG wouldn't be complete without a built-in, easy-to-use arpeggiator.

Travel through time with new synth sounds

The microKORG2 expands the iconic sonic palette with the introduction of genre-based categories and a library selector, providing quick access to an incredibly diverse range of sounds across classic, modern, and future categories. The genre-based categories and library selector allow users to quickly find the perfect sound for any genre without endless and tedious browsing through presets. Three banks feature eight genre categories, each offering eight preset programs, and you can save up to 64 of your favorite programs in the User library.

The microKORG2 is a virtual analog synthesizer that emulates analog circuitry. One of the hallmarks of a virtual analog synthesizer is that there are no physical limitations to circuit layout, giving you a broad canvas to create your own sounds, allowing you to transcend classic, modern, and future eras.

The microKORG2 offers virtual sound functionality in a compact form factor, providing the same sound features users are already familiar with from creating sounds with analog circuits.

Greatly enhanced effect

To expand the range of synth sounds as much as possible, Korg developed three series of effects, including nine new modulation (with dynamics), six delays, and reverbs. These three series of effects can be turned on/off independently, and the dry/wet ratio of the effects can be adjusted individually.

The signal is routed through the effects unit and output to a two-band parametric EQ with adjustable low and high frequency bands, allowing you to fine-tune the final character of the sound. Users can create sounds from start to finish using only the new microKORG, without the need for an external mixer or effects processing.
