Parkland Music offers professional harp lessons, suitable for those who want to learn...Those interested in the harp are welcome to enroll. Our music academy boasts renowned Harp teachers, instructors, and faculty members.

Course Content

• Currently, only Lever Harp courses are available.
• Harp Structure and Posture Introduction
• Training in left and right hand coordination, finger dexterity, and endurance.
• Fingering knowledge, scale training, and practice with different accompaniment styles
• Various fingering and strumming techniques, chord theory, and key points for playing chords.
• Taught over a hundred classic songs
• Practice with phrases or songs by several harp masters
• Learn about and study the playing techniques of world-renowned classical harpists
• Study classical music (including: Baroque period, Classical period, Romantic period, and works from the 19th century).
• Application of Arpeggios training, speed solo, scales/modes.
• In-depth study of improvisation
• How to make solo performances more emotional?
• Music theory knowledge and music reading training
• Analysis and research on harp theory
• Analysis and deconstruction of how classic hit songs are composed
• How to compose and arrange music using the harp
• Multiple rhythm training
• Understanding various complex rhythms
• Singing and ear training
• This section discusses the characteristics of different brands of harps.

Should I choose 30, 45, or 60 minutes?

- 30-minute lessons: Suitable for children under 5 years old with shorter attention spans. Other students are advised to choose 45-minute or 60-minute lessons for faster and more effective learning.

- 45-minute lesson: Approximately 15 minutes for reviewing a previous lesson and teacher feedback.25 minutesLearn techniques through songs (songs can be chosen by the student), and answer students' questions in 5 minutes.

- Online registration for new students is currently limited to one session of 8 individual, one-on-one courses.
