Minilogue XD is a next-generation analog synthesizer for a new generation of musicians new to analog synthesis, making analog synthesizers accessible.

While emphasizing the same authentic analog sounds and joy of controlling electronic instruments as the original Minilogue, Minilogue XD adds new digital multi-engines, effects, a power-up sequencer, and fine-tuning capabilities to further expand the possibilities of sound design and performance potential.

Detailed Introduction

Four-part polyphonic analog synthesis
The sound structure of minilogue xd is 2V CO + MULTI ENGINE, 1VCF, 2EG, 1VCA and 1LFO.
In addition to unique circuits in the series, such as wave shaping and a sync/ring switch for shaping the oscillator's overtones, there's also cross-modulation, a sharp two-pole filter, and a drive-switched filter that adds thickness and drive to the signal going into the Minilogue XD.
Each parameter has been carefully tuned to suit the needs of musicians. The sounds range from typical analog warm pads to thick basses and crisp leads, covering every situation.
Of course, the programs you create can also be saved locally. Out of the box, the minilogue xd comes loaded with 200 presets and can store a total of 500 programs.

Equipped with digital multi-engine
Additional sound design possibilities for digital sounds are provided by the Multi-Engine, which acts as a third oscillator in addition to the two analog VCOs. Equipped with three different sound generator types (Noise, VPM, and User Slot), the engine allows you to exploit sonic characteristics distinct from analog, and, when used in conjunction with the analog engine, infinitely expands your sonic potential.

Noise Generator
The noise generator provides four types of noise for percussion or sound effects. You can directly change the color of the noise using digital filters.

VPM Oscillator
The minilogue xd's multi-engine features a VPM (Variable Phase Modulation)/FM oscillator with a two-operator architecture. It can produce sharp metallic sounds and complex overtones beyond the possibilities of analog systems. With 16 oscillator types and a SHAPE knob control, you can intuitively create complex sounds.

User Oscillator
The User Oscillator slots allow you to load oscillator programs you've created yourself or obtained from the Internet. There are 16 user slots, plus a morphing wavetable oscillator provided as a preset.

High-quality digital effects
The Minilogue XD's high-quality digital effects, powered by 32-bit floating-point DSP processing, add the finishing touch to its extensive sound design platform. Three types (modulation effects, reverb, and delay) can be used simultaneously, allowing you to choose from a wide range of variations, including chorus, ensemble, warm tape delay, and various reverbs. A user effects slot lets you load your own effects programs.

User customization unleashes unlimited potential
The Minilogue XD features an open, customizable environment. The device comes with 16 user oscillator slots and 16 user effects slots, all of which you can customize. Oscillators and user programs you create using the SDK (Software Development Kit) can be loaded into the Minilogue XD via dedicated library management software.

16-button polyphonic step sequencer
The Step Sequencer offers 16 steps with both instant and step recording support. You can directly select a step using the 16 step buttons, allowing for quick editing to replace the pitch of a step, mute it, or even improvise. Motion Sequencer lets you record up to four knob movements, adding time-varying variations to the sound. You can record not only smooth changes in value, but also precise changes in value for each step. This allows you to design different sounds for each step; for example, you can create a drum pattern or sound effect from a single program. This unlocks countless possibilities for ideas.
