The engineers who developed the original MS-20 perfectly replicated its circuitry and installed it in a body that's 86% smaller than the original, yet retains the original's distinctive look, which remains timeless despite the passage of time.

Features

2VCO/2VCF/2VCA/2EG/1LFO structure
The MS-20 mini recreates the unique synthesis of the MS-20; two oscillators with ring modulation, and an envelope generator with hold and delay.
The VCA maintains the basic design of the original, but has been modified to produce less noise than the original.

Unique distortion self-oscillating high-pass/low-pass filter
One of the MS-20's greatest features is its powerful filter, which offers resonance on both the highpass and lowpass. Maximizing resonance causes the filter to self-oscillate like an oscillator, producing unique and dramatic tonal shifts that are unmatched.
The filter circuitry was changed during the MS-20's production lifecycle; the MS-20 mini used the earlier filter, which was considered superior due to its more aggressive sound.

External Signal Processor (ESP) for processing external signals
The ESP inherits the experimental spirit of the MS-20; it allows you to control the synthesizer using the pitch or volume of an external audio source.
For example, you can input an electric guitar and use the MS-20 mini as a guitar synthesizer, or input a microphone and use it as a vocal synthesizer.

Extremely flexible patching system
The patch panel provides a patch system on the right side that lets you create complex sounds by plugging in cables and changing the connections between units.
The possibilities are limited only by the user's imagination; different combinations of modulation in/out and triggering, sample and hold, and noise generators can produce an incredible variety of sounds.
Even beginners can immediately start taking advantage of these possibilities by tinkering according to the MS-20 flowchart printed on the panel.
