Korg Wavestate features completely redesigned Wave Sequencing 2.0, delivering stunning, ever-evolving sounds with extensive hands-on control.

Wavestate was designed from the ground up for a new generation of musicians, producers, and composers, drawing inspiration from sources as diverse as modular synthesizers, grooveboxes, and algorithmic composition.

It features 37 full-size keys in a compact, easily transportable package that fits seamlessly into any stage, studio, or desktop setup.

Wave Sequencing 2.0

Wave Sequencing 2.0 separates time, sample sequencing, and melody so each can be manipulated independently. New features include shape, gate time, and step sequencer values. Each of these is a "lane," and each lane can have a different number of steps and its own start, end, and loop points.

Each time the sequence progresses, the individual channels are combined to create the output. For example, a sample can be matched to different duration, pitch, shape, gate length, and step sequence values ​​each time it's played. You can modulate the start, end, and loop points of each channel individually for each note using velocity, LFOs, envelopes, the modulation knob, or other controllers. Every note in a chord can play something different!

Effect

Wavestate's superior effects deliver production-ready sounds.

Each layer has three dedicated effects; in addition, the Performance features a master reverb and parametric EQ.
In addition to standards like compressor, EQ, chorus, flanger, phaser, and stereo delay, it features unique processors like waveshaper, speak modulator, reverse delay, multi-band modulation delay, and Overb (from OASYS), plus modeled effects including a VOX guitar amp, VOX wah, multi-head tape echo, and a selection of classic guitar pedals.

It features an aggressive MS-20 lowpass or highpass filter, as well as a powerful, sweet Polysix lowpass filter. You can shape and refine your sound with a full range of resonant 2-pole and 4-pole lowpass, highpass, bandpass, and bandstop filters. Or, break free with KORG's unique Multi-Filter, which lets you create adjustable blends of multiple modes simultaneously.

With all this synthesis power, you might think Wavestate can only play one sound at a time. Of course not! For richer, more complex results, Wavestate can layer up to four programs in a single Performance, each with its own effects and arpeggiator. Vector Envelopes and joysticks blend the individual sounds of the four layers, and any other parameter can also be modulated.
