With slightly higher resistance than typical models, thanks to its split keycap design, this instrument offers both a compelling sound and considerable flexibility. Its ergonomic design, excellent playability, and intonation are hallmarks of Yamaha. Based on the popular YAS/YTS–475, the new YAS/YTS–480 saxophone features an improved low B–C# key arm design for easier adjustment, a new octave key system (derived from the 62 series), and compatibility with custom-grade neck tubes.
