The SM63 omnidirectional dynamic microphone offers high output, a durable aesthetic, and is ideal for professional applications requiring both performance and aesthetics. Three models differ only in length and color. The SM63 is designed for handheld use on stage, in live broadcasts, recording studios, and in television studios. It is ideal for remote interviews, sports broadcasts, and other applications requiring a longer microphone.
The SM63 microphone offers a smooth, wide response tailored for optimal speech intelligibility, with a controlled low-frequency rolloff to reduce pickup of stand and wind noise. Its built-in hum-suppression coil virtually eliminates all noise from loud environments, such as studio lighting.
The SM63LB microphone uses Shure's patented shockmount system to minimize handling noise. It also includes a VERA-FLEXTM grille, which protects against drops up to two meters (6 feet) and resists rust, moisture, corrosion, and impact. An integrated pop filter effectively reduces breath noise. The SM63LB microphone also includes an accessory windscreen for outdoor use.
