The SM7dB features a Shure-designed built-in mic-preamp, giving it full flexibility to work with any XLR interface. Providing up to +28 dB of gain, the mic-preamp preserves the microphone's frequency response, maintaining its iconic sound. All you need is an audio interface or mixing console that provides +48V phantom power to operate the mic-preamp. Don't need a mic-preamp?
