The Dunhuang 597 pipa is made of carefully selected ebony; the special design of the tuning pegs ensures a tight fit with the peg holes, making it durable and preventing the strings from slipping. It is equipped with "one string, one fret" for consistent and clear tone; the soundboard is individually baked for even sound transmission; the handpiece is made of traditional bamboo and is glued with handmade "pigskin glue" to ensure a firm and bubble-free bond between the handpiece and the soundboard, making it suitable for beginners and for exams.
