Basic Course Information

Beginner Course

• Equivalent to Rockschool/Trinity Rock & Pop (Beginner to Level 3)
• Understanding the structure and sitting posture of African drums
• Basic music theory and music reading
• Basic slapping techniques such as bass, tone, and slap.
• Basic rhythm
• Volume Change Techniques Dynamics
• Basic striking style
• Song application practice
• You can choose a class duration of 30, 45, or 60 minutes.

Intermediate Course

• Equivalent to Rockschool/Trinity Rock & Pop Level 4-5
• Intermediate slapping techniques
• Intermediate tempo
• Intermediate typing style
• Understanding Drum Solo Techniques
• Ensemble Techniques
• Song application practice
• Improvisational techniques
• A class can be 45 or 60 minutes long.

Advanced courses

• Equivalent to Rockschool/Trinity Rock & Pop Level 6 to 8
• Advanced slapping techniques
• Advanced rhythm
• Advanced typing style
•  Advanced Solo Techniques
• Advanced Ensemble Techniques

• Advanced Improvisational Techniques

Should I choose 30, 45, or 60 minutes?

- 30-minute lessons: Suitable for children under 5 years old with shorter attention spans. Other students are advised to choose 45-minute or 60-minute lessons for faster and more effective learning.

- 45-minute lesson: Approximately 15 minutes for reviewing a previous lesson and teacher feedback.25 minutesLearn techniques through songs (songs can be chosen by the student), and answer students' questions in 5 minutes.
