Cleaning cloths are an absolutely essential accessory for removing water and moisture from inside the instrument, protecting it, and maintaining optimal sound quality.
After a performance, the inside of the tube becomes warm and humid. If it is not dried promptly, bacteria and mold can easily grow, producing an unpleasant odor.
It will also accelerate the oxidation and blackening of metal tubes such as silver or copper, and may even cause mechanical structures to rust;
If moisture seeps into the gasket under the flute keys, it will cause the gasket to swell, deform, harden, and crack, resulting in poor sealing of the keys and air leakage, which will affect the sound.
After each performance, thread the cleaning cloth through the eyelet at the top of the cleaning rod that comes with the flute.
After wrapping around the tip of the rod, insert it into the inside of the flute tube and gently rotate and wipe it.
