Tone Kobo was founded in Japan in 2026. The team behind the brand has accumulated more than 20 years of experience in instrument selection, retail, repair, performance and teaching, and has been exposed to different instruments and communicated with performers and instrument brands of different sizes.
At different music venues, the team observed how instruments were compared and selected, and also saw differences beyond specifications that only became apparent during actual performances, as well as design needs that were not yet fully addressed in the market.
