Features

Flexibleofpowerful sound engine
The KingKORG NEO uses KORG's XMT virtual analog sound engine. XMT stands for Extended Modeling Technology, designed to provide a wide range of sounds while ensuring ease of use.
KingKORG NEO simplifies this process through preset algorithms. These carefully designed combinations of different oscillator types and numbers allow you to easily and quickly create rich, stage-appropriate tones.
To meet the needs of different tonal functions, the KingKORG NEO is equipped with a variety of oscillator algorithms. From classic sawtooth and square waves to more complex noise patterns typical of analog synthesizers, and extended to PCM/DWGS, this synthesizer can satisfy a wide range of musical needs and preferences.

Use representative modeling filters
At the heart of the KingKORG NEO lies its meticulously designed filter section, the cornerstone that defines the synthesizer's unique sonic character. Korg has infused the KingKORG NEO with a variety of filters, each adding a distinctive flavor to your sound creations.
The KingKORG NEO's filters include a variety of basic analog-modeled filter types, allowing you to shape the sound precisely and easily. Korg meticulously modeled the filters to echo two of the most iconic analog mono synthesizers of the 1970s – the go-to for powerful leads and deep bass. The production team also captured the essence of two of the most celebrated polyphonic synthesizers from the vibrant New Wave era of the late 70s and 80s. Of course, the KingKORG NEO also features legendary filters from Korg's own MS-20 analog synthesizer.
It offers a total of 18 filters to choose from, producing sounds that can be rich, irritating, sweet, scorching, heavy, or ethereal—providing you with the widest possible sonic range.
One of the most appealing features of these filters is their ability to self-oscillate when you turn up the resonance—a hallmark of classic analog synthesis. This feature opens up a world of sonic possibilities, from creating ethereal textures to crafting powerful, resonant tones.

8 categories, 300 programs, easy to use
The KingKORG NEO offers 300 programs (200 presets and 100 user programs) to provide instant inspiration, and each program can be easily and intuitively modified via the user-friendly front panel controls. Programs are stored in five groups, each with eight "Favorite Programs," which function similarly to "Live Setups" for easy access during performances or quick retrieval of what you need during recording.

Vocoder Magic
The KingKORG NEO synthesizer features a balanced XLR input on its front panel and includes a rugged, high-quality microphone.
At the heart of the KingKORG NEO vocoder is a sophisticated 16-band filter comparable to dedicated vocoder machines. This powerful feature allows you to create classic vocoder tones, but that's just the beginning. By using the formant shift function to move filter frequencies and finely adjust the level and panning of each band, you can unlock a range of unique and original sounds. Whether your goal is retro charm or modern edginess, this vocoder easily adapts to any genre or style.
But there's more – the KingKORG NEO redefines flexibility. The Timbre B can be cleverly used as a modulator, providing an alternative to traditional microphone inputs. This allows vocoder effects to be seamlessly blended with synthesized sounds, paving the way for limitless sonic exploration.
Furthermore, each of the three oscillators (A and B timbres) can be individually selected as a source for microphone input. This unique feature allows you to synthesize rich combinations of sounds and instruments, creating innovative and captivating sonic blends.

Built-in presets adapt to contemporary music scenarios
KingKORG NEO's extensive library includes 200 stage-ready presets created specifically for modern music producers. These presets span eight categories, including SYNTH, LEAD, and BASS, and provide an intuitive way to find the perfect sound for any scene.

Selected effects
KingKORG NEO enhances your sound with three main effect slots, each offering six different effect types.
The PRE FX slots deliver the roughness and edge of effects like distortion and amplifier simulators. MOD FX infuses your tracks with the classic charm of phasers, choruses, and vibrato. For a broad atmosphere, the REV/DELAY slots offer ambient effects, including hall reverb and modulation delay. Adjusting and selecting these effects is straightforward, thanks to dedicated dials on each slot on the front panel, as well as FX control knobs for fine-tuning.

Virtual patch function
Embrace the spirit of classic synthesizers like the MS-20 with KingKORG NEO's innovative virtual patching system. This intuitive feature brings the flexibility of physical patch synthesizers into the digital age. With six virtual patch assignments per tone, you can virtually connect control signals such as EG, LFO, or joystick movements to key sonic parameters, including pitch and cutoff. This seamless integration enables complex modulation and deeper exploration of sound shaping, bringing a new dimension of sonic creativity to your music.

Stepper arpeggio function
The KingKORG NEO features a multi-functional step arpeggio that automatically generates arpeggio phrases based on the chords you play, injecting energy into your performance. Choose from six different arpeggio types to further customize your sound. You can specify the duration, interval, and on/off state of each step, opening up a vast array of rhythmic possibilities.
