Features

New multi-touch keyboard:
The NTS-1 mkII features a brand-new 18-key multi-touch keyboard, replacing the first-generation ribbon controller, enabling precise playing and sequencing. This upgrade unlocks the ability to send MIDI note messages in a polyphonic manner, opening the door to custom oscillators and effects that utilize the NTS-1's syntactic potential.

Powerful new engine, sound, and effects:
The NTS-1 mkII is an extremely powerful, flexible, and fun synthesizer to explore. While retaining the versatility of its predecessor, this new version adds a range of new sounds, including new oscillator types and modulation possibilities, allowing you to create FM, AM, or RING sounds using its audio input signals as modulation sources.

The NTS-1 mkII is also a powerful and expandable FX unit. In the mkII, we've added many new modulation (distortion, blur, etc.), delay (tape delay, BPM sync delay, etc.), and reverb effects, as well as convenient oscillator shutdown and filter pass-through functions, making it a uniquely versatile device that will meet all your needs at home or on stage.

The core of the performance:
In addition to a powerful arpeggio, the all-new 8-step sequencer opens up a whole new world of musical possibilities. The NTS-1 mkII offers live and step-by-step recording modes (with gate length and velocity settings for each note), combined with a new keyboard and a simple octave scale switch, providing an intuitive and seamless playing experience.

But that's not all! The NTS-1 mkII has a MIDI OUT output, so you can use its internal sequencer to control other devices in your setup.

The new auto-save function recalls all the parameters you used in your last performance, including step sequencer data, so you can pick up where you left off. The new NTS-1 mkII retains the original DIY kit format and offers new customization options, including double-sided anodized silver and metallic black side panels. Don't worry, we've kept the same form factor and dimensions as its predecessor, meaning custom sides, brackets, and other custom parts will still fit!

Due to its DIY nature and open design, the NTS-1 mkII is a highly customizable synthesizer that can be modified in a variety of ways. In addition to the open-source logueSDK, which allows users to build their own custom oscillators and effects, the NTS-1 mkII's hardware can also be physically modified in both appearance and function.
