Features

The volca nubass is the first analog synthesizer to incorporate the next-generation Nutube vacuum tubes into its oscillator circuitry. By combining the tubes, the nubass produces a warm, thick, and rich sound. Familiar transistor trapezoidal filters, along with overdrive and significant distortion, give it a distinctly classic bass machine character. Combined with an LFO featuring flexible routing and synchronization, the nubass also opens up a multitude of possibilities for a new generation of music.

Nutube is equipped with two vacuum tubes; one is used in the oscillator to generate a sawtooth wave or square wave. The other vacuum tube is used in the drive circuit of the sub-oscillator, adding an octave of depth and warmth to the oscillator.

The nubass's built-in low-pass filter defines its sound; it uses a transistor trapezoidal design found on classic analog bass synthesizers. Its wide range of tonal possibilities makes it ideal for a variety of dance music.

It also comes equipped with a sophisticated 16-step sequencer with a variety of functions; by combining it with a rhythm machine, you can create rhythmic tracks or loop music.
