Performance is at the heart of Trinity's Rock & Pop exams — whether self-taught or taking lessons, learning for fun or heading for a career in the music industry, these exams help musicians develop valuable playing skills and achieve their musical ambitions.

You can access everything you need to prepare for the performance part of the exam in our new graded songbooks. Our Rock & Pop books are available for Initial to Grade 8 and each includes eight songs with performance hints and tips. There's also useful background information so you can explore the story behind, and techniques used in, the songs.

Rock & Pop Drums exams help you improve key playing skills and techniques including tempos and strokes, paradiddles, flams, and ratamacues, while playing the music you love. Song lists include music from David Bowie, Foo Fighters, Queen, The White Stripes, and Michael Jackson.

The exams are supported by a range of resources that provide essential support for learners:
